Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, is still on the lookout for more signings this summer even after signing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner. Kai Havertz is on his list and according to reports, the deal to sign the youngster is close.
Bayer Leverkusen are not in a hurry to sell Havertz, and they ready to keep him for another year if at all Chelsea fails to keep up with their demands. From reports, the Blues will not get a ‘coronavirus pandemic discount’.
Although Leverkusen are firm on their decision about signing Havertz, Chelsea are unwilling to pay Havertz’s £90 million asking price. The blues are working on a deal that will allow them to pay for the player in instalments to keep up with their financial balance.
Both parties have been in talks for a while now and they will surely agree on terms that will benefit them all. Havertz’s decision to join Chelsea has also given them an upper hand in the negotiations.
The German International attracted interests from top clubs but decided to settle on moving to the Stamford Bridge. The German sensation was impressed with what’s going on at Stamford Bridge after having talks with club legend and technical advisor Petr Cech as well as manager Frank Lampard.

The 21-year-old is technically skilled, he is quick and an excellent finisher as well. These qualities will make him unstoppable especially when lined up with Ziyech, Timo Werner and Pulisic.
Lampard is determined on landing the German sensation this summer. The deal is close and we’ll soon see the youngster wearing a blue jersey next season.
